Letter to a Prisoner

It took two weeks for the last paper letter I wrote you, when you were in confinement, to reach you. I hope this letter won’t take as long. It is frustrating that the state of things leads us to expect no investigation, no honesty, no answers, no correction to corruption and abuse. My prayers are not only for you, but others that have also endured without defense or redemption. I pray someone will get to the source and terminate such personnel. It almost goes beyond hope to ask for charges to be brought against such perpetrators.
I Samuel 17:17-34
But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”
The Lord is with you. I hope you’re able to obtain a Bible and continue reading the word and walking the walk you diligently started. I pray you’ll reach out to brothers there and when you transfer to another facility. All these events, issues and injustices are the Goliath that Satan sends against you because he is furious that he lost you and he defies the Living God. Someday I hope Jesus will show us the reasons, but if not:
Daniel 3:15-18
15 Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?”
16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[c] from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
God loves you, I pray you will trust him even though you can’t see the sense of what is happening.
Go, and the Lord be with you. I love you and pray for you always.
